About Dubai
Dubai builds hotels the way other cities build monuments. The sail of Burj Al Arab, the two Atlantis resorts on the Palm and the Armani suites inside the Burj Khalifa are destinations in their own right, with beaches, water parks and dozens of restaurants under one roof.
Beyond the headline resorts, the value is excellent: slick budget brands such as Rove start under $100, and the restored lanes of Al Seef and Al Fahidi offer heritage courtyards a world away from the glass towers.
Pick your base by what you want to do. Downtown for the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, the Palm or JBR for beach days, Madinat Jumeirah for old-Arabia atmosphere and Deira or the Creek for souks and abra boat rides.
