1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HotelCompare (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of HotelCompare after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of material changes via a notice on our homepage.
2. Service Description
HotelCompare is a metasearch service that compares hotel prices across third-party booking platforms, including Booking.com, Trip.com, and Agoda. We display publicly available pricing and hotel information to help you find the best rate for your stay.
HotelCompare is not a booking agent or a hotel itself. When you click through to a partner site to complete a reservation, the booking contract is between you and that partner — not HotelCompare. All payments, cancellations, modifications, and customer service for your booking are handled by the partner site.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use HotelCompare only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You will not use the Service to:
- Scrape, harvest, or use automated means to collect data from the Service
- Attempt to bypass any security measures or access restricted areas
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Submit false or misleading information via our contact forms
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
4. Disclaimers
HotelCompare is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we make every effort to keep hotel listings and prices accurate and up-to-date, we cannot guarantee the availability, pricing, or quality of any hotel shown on our Service.
Prices, availability, and booking terms are ultimately determined by the partner booking sites and the individual hotels. If you encounter a discrepancy between what we show and what the partner site displays at the time of booking, the partner site's information takes precedence.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site linked from HotelCompare.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HotelCompare and its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or bookings.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to your use of HotelCompare shall not exceed the amount you paid us directly, which in most cases is zero since the Service is free to use.
If you have a dispute regarding a hotel booking, your first recourse is with the booking partner that processed your reservation.
